The lesson

Explain why the standard approach fails and what the buyer accepts instead in one two-sentence headline, drawn as two side-by-side pictures.

The move

In this Pitch Unfairly rebuild, one slide reads "Troy won't open for an army. It will for a gift." Below it, two cards sit side by side: "Army at the gate: Shut. Ten years running." and "Gift at the gate: Open. They widen the wall for it." The one with the horse is outlined in orange.

Why it works

  • Our readThe two cards use the same wall with a different object in front of it, so the contrast is visible without reading.
  • Our readThe problem slide before it uses a tally of ten years and a row reading "Achilles: Unavailable", which makes a stalled approach feel concrete and slightly funny.

What not to copy

The siege story is fiction. Keep the pairing of a failed approach and a working one with one changed variable, and put the winning card in the accent color.
