The lesson

Open a demo-day pitch with the result as a score, then make the pitch a live run the audience can replay.

The move

A deck rebuilt by Pitch Unfairly. The cover says "Every file is too big, so we compress it from the middle out." beside a "WEISSMAN SCORE 3.8" card and "Hooli Nucleus 2.89". A demo slide says "Hand us any file. Watch it shrink live." with a terminal log and a "Run it again" button; the proof slide has "Replay".

Why it works

  • Our readShowing the score and the rival's score on slide one gives the audience a number to wait for before any explanation.
  • Our readA judge-picked file in a terminal log, with a replay button, lets the presenter re-run the proof on stage.
  • Our read"Hooli just proved the market. Now the score decides it." turns the competitor's launch into evidence the category matters.

What not to copy

Every score and file size is fiction from the story, so don't treat them as results. Keep the single-metric opener and the re-runnable proof; use a measure your buyer can verify.
