The lesson

Present a failure as a post-mortem with a timeline and a root-cause chain, so the audience gets the lesson without being told it.

The move

A deck rebuilt by Pitch Unfairly. It opens on "Fetch didn't happen. Here's exactly why.", then a TL;DR slide with a giant pink 0 and the tally Launches 3, Evangelists 1, Veto holders 1, Tables reached 1. Later slides: a 602 vs 0 counter, a five-stop timeline and a Five Whys ladder.

Why it works

  • Our readPutting the verdict and the tally on slide two lets every later slide read as evidence, not suspense.
  • Our readThe timeline stamps the third launch VETOED, and the Five Whys ladder shows Why 4 and Why 5 greyed out while the first three are answered.
  • Our readHandwritten asides such as "(not counting me)" and "still zero." give the numbers a narrator's voice.

What not to copy

Skip the joke format and the school setting. Every figure here belongs to the story, so none can be quoted as a metric. Keep the TL;DR-first order and the ladder of whys.
