The lesson

Open a results deck with the headline count as a physical object, then let several later slides each carry one control.

The move

A Pitch Unfairly deck rebuilt from the tour. The cover reads "149 shows, 21 months, every seat sold." beside a ticket stamped "10,168,008". Later slides add a "TOTAL GROSS / PER SHOW" toggle on a bar chart, a "SCRUB THE TOUR" slider over a dot map, and a "PLAY IT AGAIN" seismograph.

Why it works

  • Our readThe ticket turns the headline count into an object: a FINAL SHOW stub admitting 10,168,008, seat "All of them", so "every seat sold" is shown, not just stated.
  • Our readControls such as the slider and the toggle give the presenter something to do besides reading a chart aloud, and invite the room to move the evidence.
  • Our readHeadlines such as "We doubled the old record in less than half the shows." state the claim, so the chart only has to confirm it.

What not to copy

The figures on these slides belong to the rebuilt story, so don't borrow them as proof. Keep the claim headline, and pair it with one manipulable visual where it helps.
