The lesson

Sell a boring company with a checklist of reasons to feel safe, and prove one claim with a loss that reversed.

The move

A deck rebuilt by Pitch Unfairly. The cover headline reads "A paper company that still answers its own phone." with a yellow sticky reading "updated this quarter, I promise". "Four checks make Scranton the safe paper order." lists checkmarked reasons. A proof slide says ten clients went with the salesman, with a three-step toggle: Before, He quits, The buyout.

Why it works

  • Our readFraming the pitch as four checks gives a cautious buyer a list to tick, which suits a purchase where safety matters more than novelty.
  • Our readAdmitting a near-failure, the clients who followed their salesman out, makes the claim about relationships credible because it names the risk.
  • Our readA "REFRESHED" stamp and a year toggle show the deck is meant to be rewritten each quarter, which sells reliability by habit.

What not to copy

Don't copy the sitcom references or the invented dates and counts; they belong to the story. Keep the checklist structure and the proof built from a setback.
