The lesson

Publish your own telemetry with the conclusions in bullets near the top, so a reader can quote you without reading the charts.

The move

The post is titled "The crawl-to-click gap: Cloudflare data on AI bots, training, and referrals". After a short intro, a "Key takeaways" list includes "Training now drives nearly 80% of AI bot activity, up from 72% a year ago". Radar charts and ranked tables follow, including bot share and a crawl-to-refer table led by Anthropic, OpenAI and Perplexity.

Why it works

  • Our readThe takeaways are self-contained sentences with figures, so each one can be quoted without the charts behind it.
  • Our readHeadings like "Crawling by purpose: training dominates" name the trend and sit above the charts or tables that support it.
  • Our readMany charts carry Cloudflare or Cloudflare Radar branding, and some a date range, so the data is visibly the company's own.

What not to copy

This only works for a company that owns the data, so don't recreate it with borrowed numbers. Keep the summary-first structure and a named metric like crawl-to-refer.
