The lesson

Open a partner announcement with two bullet summary lines, then let the customer's executive say why they chose you.

The move

Under the headline "Uber partners with Stripe to enhance payments performance and reduce costs" and an Uber + Stripe logo lockup, two bullets state the partnership and markets covered. Quotes from Karl Hébert of Uber and Will Gaybrick of Stripe follow, then Stripe-wide figures: 10.5% more revenue in a checkout study and API reliability above 99.999%.

Why it works

  • Our readThe bullets give a skimmer the whole announcement in two lines, so the longer press-release text is optional reading.
  • Our readQuoting an Uber executive on what Uber wanted from payments, high up in the post, makes the claim feel less like Stripe praising itself.

What not to copy

Don't borrow the dateline and press-release formality if you aren't announcing with a named partner. Keep the summary bullets and an executive quote that names what the customer wanted.
