The lesson

Publish your own platform data as news, pairing the headline total with named customer quotes and a first-ever metric.

The move

The headline is "Businesses on Stripe processed more than $40 billion from Black Friday through Cyber Monday". After a video come two paragraphs of figures, then quotes from named executives at URBN, La Redoute, Higgsfield and Buck Mason. A "More BFCM by the numbers" bullet list follows, then a paragraph on first-time tracking of Model Context Protocol usage.

Why it works

  • Our readOne big number in the headline gives journalists and customers something to quote, and the paragraphs under it give them supporting figures.
  • Our readCustomers speaking in their own words about their own weekend make the total feel like their result, not only Stripe's.
  • Our readReporting a first-time measure, such as a split of MCP request types, gives a reader a reason to read past the headline.

What not to copy

Don't copy this unless you have real platform data of this size. Keep the pattern of one headline figure, named customer voices and one measure tracked for the first time.
