The lesson

Announce a valuation with a short founder letter about customers' time saved, and list your shipped features as one running paragraph.

The move

The title is "Ramp at $60B: The End of the Beginning", bylined to both co-founders. The letter begins "Seven years ago, Karim and I wrote our mission on a Post-it", states "85,000 businesses use Ramp to save over $1 billion a month" and links five product names, ending "Plus 476 more features. It's only October." An email box follows.

Why it works

  • Our readThe body talks about hours and money saved for customers, so the big headline number is not the only thing a customer gets from reading.
  • Our readLinked product names inside one paragraph work as a launch recap a reader can click through, and "476 more features" shows pace.
  • Our readThe short closers, "Chapter 1 was about what we could build. Chapter 2 is about what you can.", hand the story to the reader.

What not to copy

Don't copy the chapter metaphor or feature count unless yours is real. Keep the founders' names on it, the customer-side numbers, and an email box right under the letter.
