The lesson

Open a launch post with the buyer's four requirements, then show your product meeting each, before announcing the new feature.

The move

After a short intro, a bold list of customer-sourced qualities: "Made for the whole team", "Agent-neutral", "Collaborative", "Observable and governable". Then a product screenshot and a large quote from Nima Gardideh, CEO. Only after that does it introduce "the Notion Skills API", with sections on syncing to GitHub and installing through the Vercel CLI.

Why it works

  • Our readThe requirements list defines what a good skills library is before Notion enters, so the product is measured against that list.
  • Our readQuotes from named customers sit next to the claim they support.
  • Our read"Try it" offers an open-source starter kit and the Vercel CLI section gives an npx command, so the post gives something to run, not just to read.

What not to copy

Don't copy the Skills API or the four qualities. Keep the sequence: the buyer's criteria first, product against criteria second, then an action a technical reader can take today.
