The lesson

Put the product mention late in a story post, then return to the emotional point so the last line isn't the pitch.

The move

"I spent 16 years succeeding at the wrong thing." opens a post of one-line paragraphs: "Big title. Big salary. Completely empty.", a "Two years later:" list, then "Want to do the same? Use my playbook" with a link. It returns to "Failure stings. But empty success? It suffocates. Choose wisely." A black card repeats the idea.

Why it works

  • Our readAdmitting "I wouldn't recommend quitting cold turkey like I did" gives the writer a modest tone before the playbook link appears.
  • Our readThe card restates the post's core idea as one sentence, so a reader who skims only the image still gets the claim.

What not to copy

Don't copy his income and hours claims, which are personal and unverifiable for anyone else. Keep the one-sentence hook, the short lines and the pitch placed between two emotional beats.
