The lesson

Show a brand system by filling the page with it, in huge type, cropped photography and product screens, and keep the prose to captions.

The move

The page opens on a giant "MEWS" wordmark, then runs a grid of large panels: pink "IMPACT YOU CAN'T IGNORE" beside a black-and-white poster headed "GUESTS NOTICE" and ending "DETAIL", a red cocktail photo, "SWEET SUITES", a laptop on a wooden table, "INFINITY POOLS", and a black panel holding a website screen that reads "Upgrade your hospitality game."

Why it works

  • Our readRepeating the same bold type across posters, photos and screens lets a reader judge the system by how consistent it looks, with no description needed.
  • Our readAlternating loud color blocks with photos of drinks, interiors and parasols gives the hospitality subject matter equal weight to the type.
  • Our readPlacing the website screen after the posters and photos shows that the identity extends to the working product surfaces.

What not to copy

Don't copy Mews's pink, orange or poster slogans. Keep the sequence: wordmark, system in use at large scale, product in context, with captions kept small.
