The lesson

Title an essay as a rebuttal to the hire your reader is about to make, then give a numbered process they can run themselves.

The move

The headline is "You're Not Ready for a Head of Growth: Run This Founder-Led Growth Playbook Instead", with a deck promising tactics "specifically designed for founders". A large pull quote begins "Founders can't afford to delegate growth right away". Sections are titled as claims or tools, such as "The three-step process for finding your growth lever", and a purple diagram of three buckets sits in the first section, under "Don't let these be the reasons you wait on growth".

Why it works

  • Our readTelling the reader they are not ready for a role is a sharp hook for anyone weighing that hire, and the playbook arrives as the alternative.
  • Our readPull quotes carry the argument on their own, so a skimmer gets the thesis without reading the long body.
  • Our readSection titles that name a process or a claim make a long page navigable and let a reader jump to the part they need.

What not to copy

Don't copy the long expert-interview length unless you have the expert. Keep the contrarian headline, the claim-style subheads and one diagram that explains an idea.
