The move

A left panel carries a short description, a dark "Subscribe Now" button and a "Browse Archive" list from Issue 411 "Nothing personal, just grifting" down to Issue 405, most with a one-line title. The right side shows Issue 411 on a peach header with a line illustration and a Nietzsche quote, then "Hello discoverers!" and a personal story.

Why it works

• Our readOpening on a personal anecdote about the writer's mum tells the reader there is a person behind the curation.

What not to copy

Don't copy the illustration style or the peach palette. Keep the archive-as-sidebar layout with the subscribe button sitting right above the issue list.
