The lesson

Invent a naming scheme for the high performers in your data, so the report's findings become phrases people can repeat.

The move

The page opens with a starfield header image and the title "The State of AI 2025", with a contributor list at the right. Sections carry space names: "AI supernovas", "AI Shooting Stars", "Roadmaps of the AI cosmos", "Galaxies forming: Model layer". A chart sets "Supernovas vs. Shooting Stars" against each other, followed by numbered sections, "I. AI infrastructure" and "II. Developer platforms and tooling".

Why it works

  • Our readTwo named categories turn a spread of company data into a comparison a reader can quote in a meeting.
  • Our readThe astronomy metaphor runs through the headings and the header art, so the report feels authored rather than assembled.
  • Our readLong-form text broken up by charts lets a reader either skim the charts or read the argument.

What not to copy

Don't copy the space vocabulary; pick a metaphor from your own market or none. Keep the habit of naming each cohort once and then using the name in headings and charts.
