Xavier Caffrey outreach email

The lesson

Lead a cold email with the recipient's own philosophy, and give a thank-you before any ask.

The move

The subject is "Just finished reading everything on your website." The first line is a quoted sentence, "If you provide value to the world, the world will provide value to you". Two lettered items follow: a) thank you for building Super, b) any need for Business Development and/or Marketing help. A "here" link books a time, then a PS.

Why it works

  • Our readStarting with a quote gives the email a voice and shows the sender actually read the site, which a generic opener cannot.
  • Our readItem a) is a plain thank-you for a product he uses, so the ask in b) arrives from someone who is a customer.
  • Our readThe ask is small and the next step is one link, so the reader can answer without composing a reply.

What not to copy

Don't reuse the quote or the Super details; the pattern only works when the compliment is true and specific. Keep thanks before ask, and one link to act on.
