Ramp x post

The lesson

Announce a raise in three short lines, then put the long version in an image so the post stays readable.

The move

The post reads: "Today, Ramp raised $1.85B at a $60B valuation." Then "Seven years ago, Karim and I wrote our mission on a Post-it: “Save companies time and money.”" Then "Our mission hasn't changed. It’s just gotten bigger." Below sits a signed letter, "Ramp at $60 Billion: The End of the Beginning", with the mission line highlighted in yellow.

Why it works

  • Our readThe number comes first and the old mission second, so the reader gets news and meaning in two lines.
  • Our readThe letter image holds the customer stats and product list, which leaves the post text free of detail.
  • Our readThe yellow highlight on the mission line repeats the post's main idea inside the image.

What not to copy

Don't copy the figures or the signature. Keep the plain three-line text and the attached letter with one highlighted line.
