The lesson

Make a spec sheet from line drawings and spare lists, and let the restraint signal that the engineering is solid.

The move

The cover is a white page with a letterspaced "STARLINK | STANDARD 4 X SPECIFICATIONS" header and a single outline drawing of the dish on its stand, with no photo or copy. Later pages pair dimensioned line drawings of each component with a short hairline spec list.

Why it works

  • Our readA plain outline of the dish with blank space around it presents the product as an object to be measured, which suits a spec audience.
  • Our readOne component per page ties its dimensions to a drawing, so a reader checking a part has one place to look.
  • Our readThe wide-spaced wordmark does the branding, so the sheet needs no tagline.

What not to copy

Don't strip the content if your buyer needs persuasion; this format assumes a reader who already wants the product. Keep the drawing-plus-list pairing and exact dimensions.
