One Roof Partnership proposal

The lesson

Open a bid with an edge-to-edge rendering of the finished project and a title block naming who leads it.

The move

A landscape cover with a teal band, a white title area, then a wide aerial rendering of the stadium with covered grandstand, green field and trees. Left: "Memorial Stadium Redevelopment Proposal". Right, small: "Submitted May 2023 to the City of Seattle and Seattle Public Schools", then large and bold: "A Community Vision Led By The One Roof Partnership".

Why it works

  • Our readThe picture takes up most of the page, so it shows the outcome the city would get and the idea can be judged on sight.
  • Our readThe subtitle names the partnership and the word "Community", so the cover tells the reader who is behind the plan and whom it is for.
  • Our readNaming the two recipients and the month on the cover makes the document read as an answer to a specific request.

What not to copy

Don't copy the stadium or the specific submission details. Keep a rendering that dominates the page, a plain title, and the recipient and date stated on the cover.
