Old Tom Capital outreach email

The lesson

Bump an unanswered application with one humble sentence, the button first, and a paragraph of named deals to make the room feel worth entering.

The move

The email sits under an illustrated sheep-pasture header marked "The Club". The body begins "Wanted to make sure this didn't get buried." A brown "Apply to Join The Club" button follows, then a paragraph naming TGL (TMRW Sports), Good Good, Birdie Houses, TerraRad, Grass League, Whoosh and TRUE Linkswear, ending "That's the room."

Why it works

  • Our readBlaming the inbox, not the reader, keeps the nudge friendly.
  • Our readPlacing the button before the proof paragraph lets someone who is already ready act on the first screen.
  • Our readSeven named companies are checkable, so the deal access claim has specifics behind it.

What not to copy

Don't reuse the company list or the "That's the room" and "the room you want to be in" lines unless they apply to you. Keep the one-line bump, early button and named-proof pattern.
