The lesson

Open a list post with the one credential that earns it, then give each tip an imperative title and a short reason.

The move

The post starts "I've been the first marketer at two companies now worth over $2 billion." It lists nine numbered items, each a command heading such as "Create the problem" or "Look bigger than you are". It ends with "If you've done this - what would you add?" above a photo of her at a desk.

Why it works

  • Our readFraming the list as a redo makes it advice from experience, so each item reads as a lesson learned and not a generic tip.
  • Our readImperative headings give a scroller the outline of the post from the nine numbered lines, with the reasoning underneath each.
  • Our readThe closing question asks readers to add their own item, which invites comments from peers.

What not to copy

Don't borrow the credential. You need your own. Keep the shape: one line of proof, a number in the opener, short imperative titles, and a question that asks readers to add theirs.
