The lesson

Write numbered observations with a clear opinion in each one, then end on a meme that compresses the first point into a picture.

The move

The post opens "Trends I'm currently observing in B2B SaaS:" and lists nine numbered points, from "Everyone and their mother is rushing to get their product AI-powered" to "AI definitely feels reminiscent of the dot-com boom". Point 4 says paid and credit card-required trials are making a big comeback. Below it is a Spider-Man pointing meme titled "B2B SaaS Right Now", labelled with AI solutions, Gen AI, AI platform and others.

Why it works

  • Our readEach point is a claim a reader can agree or disagree with, such as the one about freemium and AI costs, which gives a reader something to answer.
  • Our readShort numbered items with a line break between them make nine ideas easy to scan on a feed.
  • Our readThe meme restates point 1's label confusion visually, so the post has a shareable image and not just a list.

What not to copy

Don't list nine trends you haven't seen yourself. Keep the voice of an operator reporting what they notice, with at least one blunt prediction per post.
