The lesson

Make the ad's pain a three-word scene a buyer has lived, and put what it costs in the caption under it.

The move

The first card is a photo of a man with his head in his hand at a restaurant table, stamped "YOUR CARD DECLINED." in condensed white type inside an orange border. The caption underneath reads "The wrong limit costs more than the deal." The post copy opens "You're closing a deal, not managing card limits."

Why it works

  • Our readThe headline names an embarrassing moment rather than a product feature, so the card opens on the problem.
  • Our readThe caption turns the scene into a business cost with "The wrong limit costs more than the deal.", which is a finance argument in one line.
  • Our readThe second card is partly visible, with a hand holding a card and a caption starting "A declined card is a controls f", so the swipe promises more scenes.

What not to copy

Don't copy the 'get Brex AF' line or the orange frame. Keep the photographed moment, the oversized caps, and a caption that states what it costs.
