The lesson

On a competitor comparison page, put a two-row scorecard of third-party ratings under the headline and cite the source and date beneath it.

The move

The headline "Your revenue team needs more than activity data to win." sits above a small table: G2 Rating 4.7/5 stars for Gong versus 4.3/5 for Outreach, G2 Reviews 6,671+ versus 3,571+, with "Source: G2, as of July 2026". Later come three big stats, customer stories from Upwork, YouGov and Hivebrite, and an FAQ of "Gong and Outreach" questions.

Why it works

  • Our readA dated, sourced scorecard reads as checkable, which helps a claim made against a named rival.
  • Our readThe paragraph that says the two tools can be run together lowers the stakes for a buyer who has Outreach installed.
  • Our readGiving each customer story its own headline makes the proof skimmable.

What not to copy

Don't copy rival-bashing you can't source. Keep the cited scoreboard and the 'use both for now' path.
